How to connect your entire hotel into one system | HoReCa Adria 2026
Reservations, restaurant, smart rooms and housekeeping often run separately. See what a connected hotel means and visit Hologic at HoReCa Adria 2026, booth C9.

A hotel can have an excellent PMS, POS and smart rooms and still spend hours on manual work. The question is not how many features a system has, but whether those features work together.
Hotels use far more technology today than they used to. Reservations arrive from different channels, the restaurant has its own POS, rooms have smart thermostats and access control, and housekeeping tracks a constant stream of changes every day.
All of that can work well, but only if the systems talk to each other. Otherwise, staff become the link between them: data is re-entered, information is checked in several places, and simple tasks take several unnecessary steps.
We will be talking about this at HoReCa Adria 2026, held from 22 to 24 October at Zagreb Fair. And before the fair, it is worth asking one question: not only which PMS, POS or smart room system to choose, but how all those parts will work together.
A hotel is not just a front desk
A guest books a room, arrives, stays, dines at the restaurant and expects one simple bill at the end. Behind that is a series of processes that someone has to keep in sync: connected systems or staff.
When a reservation enters the PMS, availability updates, the front desk sees the arrival, housekeeping tracks the room status, and the smart room system uses stay information to adjust the room. Hologic PMS is designed as a central point that connects reservations, smart room control and restaurant billing in real time.
- Guest data is entered several times
- Restaurant bills are copied by hand
- Front desk and housekeeping call each other about room status
- The manager opens several programs for a basic overview
- Reservations arrive in the PMS automatically
- Restaurant bills go to the room automatically
- Everyone sees the same room status
- Reports and business overview in one place
A connected system does not mean everyone looks at the same screen. The front desk needs guests, the restaurant needs the POS, housekeeping needs tasks, and management needs reports. What matters is that the data behind those views is the same.
Integration does not mean everyone does the same thing. It means everyone works with the same data.
When the room becomes part of the whole system
If a room is empty, there is no reason for it to run on the same settings as when a guest is inside. Hologic Smart Rooms uses three operating modes, ECO, PRECOMFORT and COMFORT, which adapt to the room status and the guest's presence. When the guest leaves, the room automatically returns to ECO.
The same goes for the restaurant
When the POS and PMS are not connected, staff have to find the guest manually and copy the bill across. Hologic POS is connected directly to the PMS, so restaurant and bar bills are transferred to the guest's room account automatically, while sales, revenue and inventory are tracked in real time.
The goal is less work, not more technology
A hotel can have an excellent PMS, POS and smart rooms and still spend hours on manual work if those systems are not connected. So it is not enough to ask how many features a system has. Ask how much work your staff no longer have to do.
Figures according to Hologic.
And what happens when something stops working?
Everything looks simple while everything works. Then a restaurant bill does not reach the room, a room status is not updated, or a smart room does not respond. Is the problem in the software, the hardware or the integration between them? If each part comes from a different supplier, the hotel can easily end up stuck between several parties pointing at one another.
At Hologic, the PMS, POS and smart room hardware are developed within the same system, and the hardware is designed and manufactured within a connected organization. Software and hardware support come from the same team, so the hotel does not first have to work out which supplier is responsible.
Hologic: one hotel, one system
Property Management, POS and Smart Rooms & Automation are part of one platform designed as a whole from the start, not a collection of solutions joined together afterwards. Hologic is used by more than 20 hotels, and the platform manages more than 500 rooms.
Because guests do not think about which PMS the hotel uses or who made the thermostat. They simply expect everything to work. That is how the technology behind a hotel should work too.
See you at HoReCa Adria 2026
The fair takes place from 22 to 24 October at Zagreb Fair, and organizers cite more than 350 exhibitors and brands, over 12,000 m² of exhibition space and more than 35 talks and workshops for this year's edition.
Hologic will show how PMS, POS and smart rooms can work as one whole. Come find us and see what it looks like when a hotel truly runs on one system.
We will show you where your current setup is losing time and money.
